Job Summary: The Cardiopulmonary / Vascular Rehab Supervisor’s main role is to support staff and ensure smooth departmental operations.
Provides quality rehabilitation that includes evaluation, development and supervision of exercise programs, proficient knowledge of monitoring equipment and EKG interpretation, interventions for risk factor reduction and behavior modification, always ensuring patient safety, as well as effectively manage patient crises and emergency situations. Develops and implements policies and procedures for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation Phases; evaluates and updates policies and procedures annually in coordination with your director. Responsible for schedule adjustments in relation to daily volume including call outs. Assists with effective recruitment and retention strategies including interviews, orientation, training, and serving as a mentor assisting in clinical development and other learning experiences for professional and support staff Holds staff accountable and takes appropriate actions utilizing the PEP process. Conducts timely evaluations of all staff members. Identifies and initiates policy improvement and upholds regulatory requirements, including managing ongoing survey readiness for the department and denial management. Assist the director in ongoing budget management including monitoring budget expenditures, supplies, to ensure compliance within budget limitations. Responsible for charge reconciliation of staff areas being supervised. Assist director with customer dissatisfaction promptly and effectively using the service recovery approach. Acts as director in the director’s absence, is flexible, and demonstrates the ability to float between treatment settings and performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Training:
Minimum 1 year nursing experience and cardiovascular and pulmonary experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
Active Registered Nursing License Current certification in BLS Current ACLS certification
