Patient Care Tech (PCT) - Medical Unit - Full Time - Nights
Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $13.21-$21.58/hr based on previous work experience. Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr. Weekend differential $1.75/hr. Our 5TA Medical team provides medical/surgical care to adult populations with a wide variety of complex medical conditions. We focus our efforts on restoring optimal physical and mental well-being in each unique situation with a constant goal of maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our patients. Our unit consists of 16 med/surg tele beds and provides post-op colorectal surgical care. Job Summary Provides basic patient care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of a recognized patient care training program or one clinical semester of nursing school preferred. Experience Required to be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for this requirement. (The above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure / Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) certification preferred.
