Responsibilities:

Provides patient care, assists with procedures and daily activities. Assists with physical, respiratory, and cardiopulmonary therapies. Provides feedback to RN and reports changes in patient status. Performs core nursing assistant tasks and additional specialized tasks. Reports equipment malfunctions and communicates with other departments. Establishes professional and respectful relationships. Contributes to unit activities like responding to call lights, passing meal trays, and transporting patients. Receives feedback constructively and identifies learning needs. Improves knowledge, skills, and performance; participates in self-review. Provides patient and family instruction under RN direction. Applies, monitors, and removes patient restraints as per protocol. Communicates clearly with the healthcare team. Understands cultural diversity, workplace violence, and impairment. Supports safety in the workplace and maintains productive relationships. Adheres to patient care policies and safety procedures. Suggests and supports departmental changes and quality initiatives. Documents in medical records and performs clerical functions. Achieves and maintains competency in advanced skills as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
