Responsibilities include receptionist & clerical duties, communication with nursing staff, physicians & ancillary departments in caring for patients, and providing support to patients & families with non-nursing needs. Assist in providing general patient care, performing EKGs, patient rounding, obtaining and recording vital signs, collecting specimens, assisting with rooming patients, room turnover, transporting patients upon admission or discharge, and keeping work areas cleaned and stocked appropriately. **EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:** High school diploma or High School Equivalency diploma required, one year of acute clinical patient care experience preferred. **CERTIFICATION and LICENSURE:** Nursing Assistant Certification (CNA), Successful completion of one quarter/semester of clinical rotation and currently enrolled in an LPN or RN program, EMT certification.
