BayCare Health System's partnership with the Ultimate Medical Academy Training Program
BayCare Health System has partnered with the Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) to offer paid training for aspiring Patient Care Technicians. Participants will begin their journey by working and training at BayCare as Nurse Helpers, supporting the organization's nursing teams under the supervision of an RN. Additionally, students will enroll in UMA's 8-week CNA training program, which fulfills the necessary requirements for BayCare's PCT positions. During the program, students are required to work one 12-hour shift per week as Nurse Helpers. They will also attend in-person classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM for six weeks, followed by a two-week externship at Morton Plant Rehab on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
