POSITION SUMMARY:################ # Schedules patients according to established office procedures.# Answers telephone by the third ring as needed.# Obtains patient information such as name, address, referring physician, reason for visit and authorization number.# Updates established information.# Makes reminder calls prior to the day of service. Updates and corrects return mail.# Obtains and distributes schedule of the next day of service.# Greet patients and visitors; determines their needs and directs them accordingly.# Answer non-medical questions and give non-medical information to patients within practice guidelines.# Gives routine non-medical instructions in preparation for the patient#s visit to the Center.# Reviews all information sheets and forms after new patient registration.# Ensures that all necessary information is present.# Assists new patients who are unable to complete the patient information sheet.# Prepares encounter form and attaches it to the medical record for use in conjunction with the patient visit.# Researches Misys computer system to determine if patient is a new or established patient.# Addresses complaints and ################ ################ ################ MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:###### # Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years office management experience.# Medical Office experience preferred.# Previous Accounts Receivable and Collection experience required.# Possess strong written and organizational skills with attention to detail.# Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.# Must possess problem solving skills as well as using good communication.# Computer skills with experience in word processing, and excel required.# Oversees daily flow of office and maintains facility compliance in regards to OSHA, HIPAA, and JCAHO. ################ ################ ################ ACCOUNTABLE TO:#Practice Manager, Specialty Practices
