Register/admit patients in the hospital ADT system. Obtain signatures for required documents and scan into electronic record. Verify insurance benefits for admissions and initiate authorization/pre-certification as required for both admissions and OP registrations. Identify any co-pays or deductibles and initiate up-front collections process. General responsibilities include admissions, discharges, transfers, bed assignments, and up-front collections.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with basic general office skills required. Good interpersonal and communication skills required. Computer experience including data entry, internet use preferred. Medical terminology and prior insurance experience preferred. AS400 and HEV/ Awarix system experience preferred.
