The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate’s expertise and years of experience, among other factors.Location: Highland Park, ILFull TimeHours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am-5pmRequired Travel: Travel across the hospital campuses is required.Job Summary:
The Oncology Patient Financial Advocate has accountability for the overall management of oncology patient financial concerns including insurance and Medicare denials and appeals, pre-certifications, charity care, ABNs, pharmaceutical programs, and other billing issues. The Oncology Patient Advocate reports jointly to the Sr. Manager, Patient Registration in conjunction to the management team of the Kellogg Cancer Care Centers with the primary goal of reducing uncompensated care. Travel across the hospital campuses is required.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or ten years of applicable experience required.Certification: n/aExperience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in patient care setting with expert knowledge of billing and insurance, particularly in regard to Oncology.Unique or Preferred Skills: Demonstrated expertise in patient insurance and billing. Experience in charity care negotiations, pharmaceutical company programs, and patient payment plan development. Computer knowledge to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Power Point.Benefits (For full time or part time positions):
