Patient Financial Services Representative – CMN Coordinator
Reviews prescriptions and progress notes for accuracy and compliance with durable medical equipment coverage guidelines. Obtains prescriptions, certificates of medical necessity (CMN) and progress notes from physician’s offices and facilities. Reviews reports of held revenue and prioritizes work to ensure timely billing of claims and reduction of bad debt. Review patient records and submit renewal requests for certificates of medical necessity forms to physicians as needed. Routine follow up required for all documentation requests sent. Review all CMN forms for accuracy and completeness prior to submission. Must make clear and accurate notes documenting all efforts to obtain CMN forms. Review and log existing documentation to release revenue. Maintain open communication with patients regarding status of needed documentation Work collaboratively with other departments to create a smooth patient experienceMinimum Education Required
