Powers Health is hiring a Patient Financial Support – Financial Counseling!

Position located at Community Hospital, Munster, Indiana

Job Description: 

Assists the Financial Counseling department with insurance verifying, approving infusion center referrals, complete cashier duties and mail courier duties. Primary function is verifying insurances and approving referrals for all infusion center accounts. Will be a backup for insurance verifiers, Community Hospital Cashier and CFNI Mail Courier.        

Required Skills & Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED One-year Hospital/Medical Business Office experience required Working knowledge of insurance, coordination of benefits and/or collections experience preferred Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Outlook, Word and Excel.  Must be proficient with a 10 key calculator, detail oriented with a good numeric aptitude and typing skills of 35 wpm with accuracy. Ability to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and multi-task while working in a collaborative, team environment with a positive attitude.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work under deadlines. Must maintain current driver license along with good driving record and comply with local and state driving regulations. Must meet and maintain qualifications as outlined in CHS Automobile Safety Program Company Vehicles Policy.
