Kettering Health Main Campus

Kettering Health Main Campus, formerly Kettering Medical Center, is the flagship hospital of Kettering Health and has been serving Kettering, Ohio and the Greater Dayton area since 1964. The facility includes the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Heart Hospital, maternity service with a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and level II Emergency Care. In 2020, KH Main Campus received an “A” from the Leapfrog Group, a national patient safety watchdog, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.Received 4 Star Baby-Friendly Hospital status by the Ohio Hospital Association.Awarded as one of the 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by IBM Watson Health in 2020.Kettering received the Outstanding Patient Experience Award by Healthgrades (2017-2019).Accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department.465-bed hospital (includes newborn beds) Responsibilities & Requirements

Patient Registration I position’s major duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Registering patients while demonstrating strong guest relations and exceptional customer service and effective communication.Reviewing all scheduled outpatient visits prior to service to ensure that all patients have been screened for discountsEnsuring that payer sources and payment arrangements and options have been discussedAssist patients with the completion of Financial Assistance Forms, HCAP Application and Medicaid Applications (if applicable)Review an account for quality and confirmation and can demonstrate the ability to update all aspects of a patient accountDemonstrate knowledge of all compliance or legally required registration forms, consents, literature and documents Preferred Qualifications

Qualifications: 

Previous registration or scheduling experience strongly preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsMeets Pre-Screening Protocol and testing for proficiencies in computer skills, phone skills, and customer service knowledgeDemonstrated competency in working in teams and ability to effectively communicate with all levelsAbility to learn site specific patient processing software.Computer literate and very strong with Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to function in high paced often stressful environment and/or circumstances while maintaining a respectful, caring and professional manner Flexible schedule to fit staffing needs.

Education:
