**Responsibilities**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate **Patient Registration Rep** to join our healthcare team. **The Patient Registration Rep** is responsible for accurately and efficiently registering patients for medical services, obtaining necessary information, and ensuring a positive patient experience. + Greet patients and visitors, providing excellent customer service.
+ Accurately and efficiently register patients for medical services, including verifying patient information and insurance coverage.
+ Obtain necessary information, such as medical history, medication allergies, and other related information, from patients, and ensure that all information is entered correctly into the electronic health record
+ Assist the patient in filling out the necessary paperwork
+ Collect copays and outstanding balances at the time of service and provide patients with receipts
+ Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the appropriate care.
**Qualifications**
+ Minimum 1 year of experience working in a hospital Patient Registration department, physician office setting, healthcare insurance company, revenue cycle vendor, and/or other revenue cycle-related roles
+ High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ Fire Safety care required (have 90 days to obtain as of hire date)
**Skills** :
+ Thorough understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
+ Working knowledge of medical terminology.
+ Able to perform basic mathematics for payment calculation.
+ Experience in requesting and processing financial payments.
+ Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
+ Knowledge of charity care programs as well as the various government and non-government programs, is preferred.
**This position is represented by SEIU UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.**

**Pay Range**
$25.05 - $31.47 /hour
