Position Overview:

As a Patient Relations Coordinator, you will work directly with specialty departments to process incoming referrals, coordinate patient scheduling, and facilitate seamless navigation of care within the clinic. You will play a key role in ensuring a positive patient experience by providing clear communication and support throughout their healthcare journey.

Key Responsibilities: Process and manage incoming patient referrals in coordination with specialty departments. Schedule patient appointments efficiently, collaborating with Medical Assistants (MAs) and providers. Communicate with patients to provide appointment details, instructions, and answer questions about their care. Assist patients in navigating clinic services and coordinating follow-ups. Verify insurance and obtain prior authorizations as required. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation in the system. Provide excellent customer service to patients, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism. Work closely with providers and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient care coordination. Qualifications:

 

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or healthcare-related certification preferred. Previous experience in a healthcare or patient-facing role preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling software is a plus.
