Job Summary: Facilitate & coordinate communication between patients, family members, or their appropriate surrogate decision makers & CaroMont Health to provide support & guidance on issues involving patient complaints, grievances, & potential risk exposures. Serve as a resource and provide guidance for patients, families, and appropriate departments throughout the organization for successful resolution of issues & concerns. Proactive identification of actual or suspected issues or events in the earliest stages to provide clear communication, guidance, & support for complaint resolution & risk mitigation. Coordinate & participate in grievance management to include appropriate communication & documentation of the grievance per Complaint Management System policy.
Qualifications:Associate’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, human services, or related field or 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare, human services, or related field required. North Carolina Notary Public eligible with completion of requirements within first 3-6 months of employment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal tactfully & navigate complex situations involving patients, physicians, staff, department leaders & families. Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds. Strong problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills are required. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Maintain the confidentiality of all information. Proficient in Microsoft Office software & related programs
