Job Overview:

The patient representative supports the delivery of services that promote a positive experience for patients and guests. The patient representative collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to obtain feedback from patients and guests, proactively manage patient needs, and support the response to concerns.

Qualifications:

Required:

High school diplomaPrevious customer service and administrative experience/training is requiredProficiency in Word and Outlook required

Preferred:

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint Previous experience working in an acute care setting Bachelor s degreeExcellent ability to build and sustain professional and interpersonal relationshipsAbility to effectively communicate with patients, family members, co-workers, clinical and non-clinical staff, promoting a consistent customer service focus with positive approachesProficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this jobAbility to adequately and accurately document information and maintain filesAbility to adapt to new initiatives and changes within the department and healthcare organization Willingness to work as a team player and contribute to departmental and organizational projects, initiatives, and ideas with primary focus on process/workflow improvementsAbility to collaborate with department leadershipExceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-talk and work independently with minimal supervision

Scheduling Requirements:

Day Shift- 11:30am 8pmRotating weekends (Up to 2-3 Weekend Days coverage per month)Flexibility to work variable shifts when neededFull-Time

Essential Functions:

Duties include but are not limited to:Rounding in patient care areasAddressing opportunities to provide a high level of service in real-timePerforming post-discharge follow-up callsManagement of complaints/grievancesProviding support for staff developmentAssisting with promoting language service utilization.Role will require coverage of Emergency Department during designated shift hours, as well as assisting with inpatient unit round coverage.
