Maintains standard precautions on all patients. Washes hands before and after caring for each patient. Follows instructions on isolation signs when indicated. Maintains a neat environment. Job Function: 04. Receives and provides SBAR report at the beginning and end of shift. Reports changes in patient's condition. Documents all behaviors, interventions provided and patient responses in a timely manner. Appropriately escalates any concerns Job Function: 0 5. Provides emotional support to patient and significant others. Observes for and responds to emotional needs of patient and/or significant others. Reports observations to RN for follow up. Adheres to OSHA, TJC, Board of Health, and hospital standards and requirements . Maintains a professional appearance at all times. Attends staff meetings consistently (minimumally 6 per year) and reviews meeting minutes for those missed. Participates in yearly validations of unit skills. Maintains clean and safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with hospital policies and other regulatory agencies. Checks for patient's identification prior to any interventions.
