Founded in 1921, Straub Benioff Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i. At Straub's newly renovated Outpatient Treatment Center, patients receive blood transfusions, chemotherapy, nutritional support, antibiotics and other IV therapies. Straub's Certified Oncology Nurses are trained to provide education and emotional support to patients and their families. The Straub Cancer Center team includes board certified physicians, nurses, registered dietitians, outpatient and inpatient staff, and a quality of life professional. In addition to treatment and therapy, the Center offers family education and support group sessions to help patients and their families cope with illness. As a Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that Straub patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at Straub. You will act as a liaison between patients and the professional staff in our Oncology department by facilitating clerical and reception responsibilities and assist with a variety of administrative tasks. These include interviewing, registering, admitting, updating and creating patients’ medical records; performing accurate and timely processing of all professional/technical fees generated by department providers; and performing cash handling and collection.
