Job Description
The Patient Service Representative will assist with daily reception activities and ensure that all processes needed for patient services are initiated. This role requires effective communication with team members and patients, managing telephone and mail contact, scheduling appointments, fee collection, and explaining services and charges. The representative will also distribute materials to patients, verify insurance, and set fees based on the sliding scale fee.

The work environment provides the highest quality of comprehensive primary, preventative, and behavioral health services to all who seek it, regardless of insurance status and ability to pay, especially for the underserved and vulnerable. This is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia, and Westchester County. The position is based on a 35-hour work week with 7 paid hours and 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Candidates are required to work 1-2 late nights a week and 1 Saturday a month if the site is open on Saturdays.
