Patient Services Representative is a unique position that varies daily based on the clinical or clerical staffing needs of the practice. Duties often include supporting the physicians and\/or mid-level providers in the practice with clinical activities and direct patient care as well as assisting patients and staff with the administrative and clerical needs of the practice.\n
Roles and Responsibilities:\n
Based on division of duties and work flow allocated, that day may include:\n\nPerform clinical duties within training scope and NYS regulations, including taking vital signs and assisting providers with procedures and patient care.\nPrepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure medical supplies are stocked per protocols.\nManage patient communication, including prescription refills, test results, and clinical questions per practice protocols.\nVerify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and required forms upon check-in.\nSchedule and coordinate patient appointments, referrals, pre-authorizations, and additional testing or procedures.\nHandle patient check-out, including printing visit summaries, collecting payments, and processing daily cash deposits.\nAnswer, direct, and triage incoming phone calls, including scheduling and patient inquiries.\nParticipate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives as needed.\nManage patient records, including scanning, fax monitoring, email communication, and maintaining documentation.\n\n
Required Skills and Experience:\n\nHigh School or equivalent experience\nProficient in Microsoft Office suite\n Interpersonal skills with experience in customer service\n\n
Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nPrevious medical office experience preferred\nCollege-level training\/education in a healthcare support field preferred\nExperience in Electronic Medical Record Systems such as Meditech, Medent, and Epic\n\n
Location and Travel Requirements:\n\nOnsite\nCCMOB - 905 Hanshaw Rd Suite A\nFull time - No weekends or holidays\n\n
Pay Range Disclosure \n\n$15-$23.50 per hour \n\n
