The Importance of the Role
The Patient Service Specialist II supports Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy patients and families as a member of the Patient Services Team. Paired with a Case Manger(s), the Patient Service Specialist II supports the team through data updates to patient records, tracking case status, set-up of new patient referrals and patient outreach. The Patient Service Specialist II will learn and master all skills of Case Management.The Opportunity to Make a Difference
Provides patient intake support (checks documents, enters patient data to CRM and attaches appropriate documents to patient case)Works with Case Managers and Senior Case Managers to initiate patient outreach.Participate in a structured case management/reimbursement training led by teammates and demonstrate learned skills.Acts as a backup/floater to the case management team as necessary.Supports SareptAssist telephone line by handling incoming communications.Understands and adheres to Sarepta Compliance/HIPPA regulations in every aspect of the job.Position may require some travel.More about You
BA/BS preferred or HS diploma with relevant experience in rare disease.3+ years of case management experience in a related field preferred.Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteStrong listening, verbal, and written communication skillsHighly interested in supporting patients and familiesMust enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Must be flexible, proactive, friendly, empathetic, efficient, and a team player.Embraces continuous learning/seeks knowledge.Thrive as a self-starter who proactively senses and responds to problems and opportunities; able and willing to learn and react quickly.What Now?
