Job Summary

Michigan Medicine Ambulatory Care Saline Health Center is dedicated to providing high quality health care services for adults and children.  We are seeking a compassionate, enthusiastic, self-driven, patient and team-oriented Patient Services Assistant/Associate who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families and employees.

Required Qualifications*High school diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of education.Demonstrated customer service excellenceWelcoming and approachable demeanor with a consistently positive and professional attitude.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.Demonstrated active listening, verbal, written and information technology communication skills.Must be very comfortable working with computers and have a general knowledge of office practices.Demonstrated excellent attendance and reliability.Requires flexibility in all aspects of work assignments.Desired Qualifications*Experience working in a patient care setting.Knowledge of basic medical terminology.Experience with Michigan Medicines electronic medical record system.Work Schedule

This position is 40 hours/week with variable hours Monday - Friday with possible Saturday rotation.

Michigan Medicine Saline Health Center, 700 Woodland Drive East, Saline, MI  48176 and Saturday clinic at Michigan Medicine West Ann Arbor, 380 Parkland Plaza, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
