Shift Monday – Friday, day shift. Job Summary The Patient Services Coordinator will work at the front desk in the majority of clinics. This position acts as a contact for patients, visitors, vendors, and the community at large accessing services of the College of Dentistry via telephone contact, face-to-face encounters, and daily appointments. Welcomes all patients/family members/others to clinic in a friendly manner.

This position is responsible for the check in registration of patients. The successful candidate will maximize patients’ financial coverage through proper registration and verification of benefits.

Duties include: obtain demographics, verification of coverage and annual documentation of forms as required as well as scheduling of appointments collect co-pays and amounts due at time of service answer basic insurance coverage questions process and maintain registration information in the electronic health record screen and directs incoming calls process referrals provide excellent customer service
