This position will help pharmacist, and nurse manages patients within anticoagulation, assisting with day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities*

Assistance with management pf perioperative management scheduling

Generate pool for clerk to route all proceduresUpdate pharmacists perioperative work queGather all necessary information from patient or proceduralistAnticoagulation provider information and contactProceduralist information and contactTriage all messages regarding perioperative notificationManage GI perioperative reportGather Medical Records/LabsGI operative scheduling and reportCall patients to verify taking anticoagulant and agreement to proceed with procedureOutside provider clearance formFollow up with physician's office/notify pharmacist of resultGAP reportsAssist in maintaining other reportsMonitor Enrollment ReportRun deceased reportProvide phone triage of incoming calls including creating telephone encounters and routing to appropriate pharmacist/nurse/providerReferral support, including screening and schedule enrollment responsibilitiesData entry, including retrieval of outside labs and appropriate distribution of patient results.Preparation and distribution of patient education materials and other general office functions.Preparation of home INR monitoring orders and faxing signed order to monitor companyManage Visiting Nurse orders, obtain provider signature and fax to VNAHome monitoringSchedule for New Anticoagulation enrollment/arriving phone call/appointment/ or visitAssist in any other clerical functions by request as well as help with the training of new staff.

 

Required Qualifications*High School Diploma or GED3-4 Years experienceKnowledge of basic medical terminologyPrior experience performing complex schedulingFamiliarity with obtaining medical records or professional billingFinancial counseling experience for healthcare patientsExceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team settingCommunicated effectivelyDemonstrates active listening, written, verbal and information technology skills.Desired Qualifications*Experience working within a large, complex health care settingFamiliarity with AUMHS electronic medical record systemsKnowledge of University policies and procedures

Background Screening
