Patient Services Representative- Emergency Department- Full Time- Evenings\/Nights\n

Patient Service Representatives needs to have strong organizational skills along with the ability to think on their feet when faced with new situations that arise throughout each day within a professional medical environment.\n
Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nPatient intake, such as greeting and check-in patients\/verifying\/updating patient demographics\nAssist patients with filling out consent forms\nReceive and process cash and credit card payments for medical services rendered\nInitiate calls, pages, and triage phone calls. \nAssists in admissions, discharges, transfers and fulfills other customer service or clerical duties\n\n
Required Skills and Experience:\n\nHigh school or equivalent experience\nBLS-Will provide if needed\n\n
Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)\nKnowledge of medical terms and practices \n\n
Physical Requirements:\n\nFrequent hand and finger use (e.g., to operate a computer keyboard).\nLifting and carrying items up to 40 lbs. (e.g., boxes, equipment, IV solutions), with or without reasonable accommodation.\nAbility to stoop, kneel, or crouch for tasks such as retrieving items from lower shelves or filing in low drawers.\nAbility to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, as the position may require (estimated 80% standing\/20% sitting)\nCapacity to operate job-related equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.\n\n
Location and Travel Requirements:\n\nOnsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850\nShift: 2x 8hr and 2x 12hr shifts ranging between 3pm and 7am per week, rotating weekend and holidays\n0% Travel can be expected in this role\n\n
Pay Range Disclosure:\n\nStandard Rate of $19.50 per hour plus benefits \n\n
OR \n\nEnhanced Rate of $21.93 per hour w\/o benefits \n\n
