Patient Services Specialist

The Cath Lab, Radiology Administration, Mammography and Radiation Oncology Patient Access Coordinator provides support to assigned department under minimal supervision. This person is responsible for scheduling patients, billing, fielding phone calls, ordering supplies, maintaining and procuring medical records, and utilizing computer software programs. This position is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service skills and promotes smooth and efficient interactions with outside facilities and physician offices.

Ages of Patients Served: Adult (21-64), Geriatric (65+)  (Radiology Administration serves all ages)

Employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate with and provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Age-specific needs that the employee is required to know and understand will be reviewed and evaluated during job specific/department specific orientations and ongoing thereafter.

Required Qualifications:

1 year Medical office experience; 

Preferred Qualifications:

Computer training 3 years Medical office experience;  Experience in a clerical environment of equivalent complexity to the Imaging department operation.
