JOB SUMMARY
The Patient Services Specialist 1 Float, with direct oversight, provides administrative help in a physician office, clinic or other operational area that assists patients, to ensure high quality, patient-centered care. Duties include patient relations, check-in and check-out, scheduling, insurance verification and answering phones.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS
\n\nAble to travel regularly to various clinics within designated, local region and complete duties within scope as assigned.\nGood listening, social and communication (oral and written) skills; professional, nice and respectful telephone etiquette. Able to adjust communication style to suit different audiences.\nCaring listener, delicate, upbeat, optimistic, articulate, gracious and tactful.\nAble to promptly assess requests by using electronic and paper resource materials and correctly respond to patient inquiries.\nAble to calm upset patients in a composed and professional demeanor.\nExcellent data entry, numeric, typing and computer navigational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.\nRelaxed working in a fast paced, constantly changing and stressful environment.\n\nBENEFITS
