Patient Support Technician

Available Locations: Lankenau Hospital, Riddle Hospital, and Bryn Mawr Hospital

Available Shifts: First, second, and third. Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required for all positions.  Full time and part time opportunities available.

Make an Impact! Provide safe, prompt transport of patients throughout the Hospital Facility through use of Inter Serve System,. Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude toward patients and co-workers. Maintain friendly, efficient and responsive attitude toward patients while performing job duties.

Provide transportation and assistance during disaster situations. Provide transportation of equipment and/or lab specimens as needed. (Lankenau specific) Display a polite, spirit-of-service attitude toward patients and co-workers. Maintain friendly, efficient and responsive attitude toward patients while performing job duties Transport Inpatients and Same Day Surgery patients to and from any area in the hospital, through use of Inter Serve System, and meeting the goals set by the department. Provide transportation and assistance during disaster situations. Assist nursing staff with transferring patients, stretchers, wheelchairs, etc Maintain O tanks for transportation. Remove and re-apply regulators to O2 transport tanks. Redistribute wheelchairs, stretchers, etc. to appropriate units on an average of 4 times for each 8 hour shift. Maintains confidentiality of records and other information, performing all tasks and communications in a confidential and respectful manner. Follows established department guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing of patient transport equipment. Ensures special care is taken when transporting patients with: drainages, IV’s, & oxygen.
