SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE CRITERIA:
· Daily room checks· Daily crash cart checks· Stock rooms daily in the a.m. and throughout the day· Anesthesia machine turnover· EP room turnover (help clean and get room ready for procedures)· Learn sterile technique, including opening sterile packaging· Transport patients· Retrieve sterile equipment from Central sterile· Assist getting patient on and off the table for procedures· Prep patients· Set up rooms· Life pack checks / locate missing lifepacks throughout hospital· Check for expired supplies in rooms· Work with supply chain for Renewal (reprocessed) products· Assist with picking equipment for procedures· BLS certification (will train if they don’t have)· Utilize therapeutic communication skills· Additional duties as directed by EP leadershipEDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
High School graduate or equivalent desired. Must be able to read and write.
Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise. Completes population specific competency annually on populations served as identified in scope of care and service.
