Highlights:

Variable hours per week working either 0600 to 1500 or 1500 to 2330 variable shift; weekends and holidays available.Relief job - covering for those on PTO.

Position Summary:

Patient Transfer Coordinator will monitor, via the computer, all movement of patients, equipment, and workers within the departments using rovers to keep a steady flow of each inpatient and outpatient hospital area monitored.  Patient Transfer Coordinator will, by direction of the supervisor, change rover zones/sectors as needed to maintain steady patient flow so back up does not occur.

What Patient Transfer Coordinator will do:

Follow up on daily, weekly, and monthly reports. Notify those directly impacted and advise on changes needed to maintain
proper flow of patient movementFacilitate current patient flow applications by updating user access to include system location changes as users move
throughout the hospital andEnsure all staff (within the Command Centers are located where and when they need to be to facilitate timely and accurate movement of patients in testing and inpatient areasMonitor staff within the computer system; assign to appropriate areas based on demand and needs of a unit/area within the hospital

What Patient Transfer Coordinator will need:

High School diploma or equivalentTransport Command Certification with passed EUPA required. Grand Central Experience and concise understanding of rovers and transport use of rovers preferredWell developed communication skills, both written and oralAble to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectivesArticulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization
