Sentara Healthcare is currently hiring a Patient Transporter to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital located in Virginia Beach, VA.

Hours/Shift:

Full-time, Monday to Friday from 7pm to 3:30am.

Department/Position Overview:

This position will primarily be responsible for transporting patients between our Emergency Department and our CAT scan department.  We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and customer service skills that is punctual.   

Being a Patient Transporter with Sentara:  Safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.

Job Requirements:

Required: High School Grad or EquivalentRequired: Basic Life SupportRequired: Communication, Technology/Computer experiencePreferred: Patient Care experience
