What you will need:

Required Education and/or Experience:

American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider or American Red Cross CPR/AED for the professional rescuer certificationExcellent communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

High-school diplomaMinimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience

Required License and/or Certification:

General Summary:

Under general supervision and according to estab­lished policies and proce­dures, transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or alternative means. This includes disconnecting and re-connecting patient’s IV pumps from the IV pole and oxygen. Delivers patient equipment to nursing floors as needed.
