Position Summary:

Clinch Valley Physician Associates is looking to hire a talented Payment Associate to join our team. If you are a passionate self-starter, Clinch Valley Physician Associates is a perfect place to grow your career.

 

Responsibilities for the Payment Associate, CVPA:

Assist onsite patients with any billing questions and collect paymentsManage all accounts identified as bankruptciesMaintain the credit card machine and Simpler for collectionsWork outstanding balance review reportAssist with remit and cash posting, reconciling bank statements, reporting and assisting with end of day close out processAssist the coders with preparing the documentation required to prepare all out of office charges from the hospital system.Work collection accounts with TSI and assist the Billing Coordinator as neededManage the Occupational/Industrial Medicine billing at the local facilityCoordinate with the Finance Department to track down and redistribute payments that have been misroutedRefund Management - Review refunds initiated by the PMDS team on a weekly basis; transmit refund requests to the appropriate teams; confirm refund checks are successfully processed and mailedPerform other duties as assigned by the Billing Coordinator

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree strongly preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum of two years of medical office billing experience.
