Position Description:

The J.P. Morgan Payments Pricing is responsible for analysis used to drive strategic pricing decisions and the development of tools used to execute or augment pricing activity in the business. With broad scope covering statistical analysis and recommendation-based problem solving, as well as design, development, maintenance, and  governance of pricing tools used by our sales teams and thus making an impact on business.

Job Summary :

As an associate within the TS custom pricing team, you will be responsible for taking Pricing decisions from initial conception through to execution and ongoing implementation. A core part of the Business Transformations group, the team largely operates on a deal-by-deal basis, supporting Payments Sales teams on everything related to deal pricing including deal price modelling, governance & approvals, and billing & implementations.

Job responsibilities

Lead in complex pricing execution scenarios and ad-hoc requests in our largest (“Enterprise”) global clients Act as a liaison between Sales and Product teams by providing innovative solutions that considers holistic client relationship as well as product specific concerns Improve pricing models used for our largest and most complex deals Improve controls over data inputs, outputs and development of model efficiencies Integrate pricing models of targeted product and cross-business strategies and opportunities Develop client-based reporting to aid Sales in pitching our unique offerings and potential client savings Facilitate custom deal review, including sensitivity and scenario planning Map and reconciliation of financial data and reporting used to drive Treasury Services pricing Manage the work and priorities with the team in an independent manner with good work ethics.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

6+ years in pricing, product, TS sales, finance or consulting roles Strong financial modelling experience, including financial statement analysis, business case development, and comfort with statistical techniques Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving; able to break down and structure complex problems, then develop data-driven solutions to guide management decision-making Executive presence, including the ability to communicate findings from data analysis in a concise manner to senior stakeholders Strong interpersonal skills, including comfort working with cross-functional stakeholders of all levels to achieve team goals based on guidance provided Ability to think strategically and proactively create new solutions for Strong project and process management skills Excellent command of MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiar with analytical and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx etc.)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

Degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Finance/Business – MBA preferred Payments experience preferred (e.g. Treasury Services) Experience with a focus on pricing and/or valuation Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and management Previous experience with analysis/strategy with fact based writing skills along with storytelling and presentation skills in a concise and confident manner
