Payments Product Manager

The Payments market is constantly evolving with new initiatives such as Open Banking, ISO20022 and payments innovations on mobile banking. This role will lead the agenda for new payments initiatives, compliance and industry mandates and play a pivotal role in influencing the broader thinking on payments strategy including driving digital adoption and focus on payments related controls The Payments Product Manager will be responsible for the management of all payment’s products for the EMEA Wealth team and drive strategic product initiatives, act as SME to provide daily support, drive client experience and digital channel development. This role is responsible for the development of product plans, execution strategies, meeting regulatory and industry mandates and representing product across multiple regional & global forums. This will require conducting detailed analysis of the business, processes, controls, governance, and front to back operating issues; defining corresponding solutions; and working with Front Office, change management team, Control Functions, Technology, Operations and internal Citi partners to drive the implementation of solutions. The ideal candidate will have a good track record of experience in product management experience and is familiar with banking regulatory policies. In addition, has ability to work as partner, build relationships and influence, and has strong effective communication skills. This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to work at least 3 days a week from the Canary Wharf office. **Key Responsibilities:** + Own day-to-day product management for core products such as product delivery, client experience, and client communication strategies as well as help the team prioritize, negotiate, and remove obstacles to achieve business results. + Help define, develop, and implement product strategies through analyzing consumer behavior and preferences, competitive best practices, and product economics + Serve as subject matter expert and has oversight over the client experience, features and servicing processes + Initiate, plan and manages initiatives throughout the entire project lifecycle working with cross-functional project teams within Citi and external partners + Manage product approvals, define product requirements, create user stories, define acceptance criteria, oversee testing status, and post implementation activities + Make recommendations based on regulatory changes, competition, consumer trends and market research + Complete competitive analysis and identify key opportunities to drive innovation, revenue and drive positive client experience + Ensure a positive customer experience and the oversee the lifecycle of an initiative and day-to-day product support, including creating/maintaining procedure documents & training matrials + Lead efforts to rapidly fix and remediate any situations which negatively impact customer experience + Highly self-motivated, effective communication and decision management skills, and has the willingness to learn and adapt in an agile environment **Knowledge/Experience:** + Comprehensive knowledge of the EMEA payments products and marketplace + Understanding of technical aspect of payment products and digital infrastructure including APIs + Keen interest in the Future of Payments technology and open banking infrastructure + Experience with instant payment capabilities and digital payment channels + Experience in payment networks (CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, SEPA, SWIFT, ISO20022) + Prior experience in Wealth Management or Private Banking preferred + Experience in process and control design + Experience in payment regulation & large scale programs + Strong Excel/Data skills would advantageous **Skills:** + Product Management & payments experience is a must + Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong working relationships across functional lines + Professional outlook with the ability to use initiative, manage deadlines, coordinate multiple tasks and work to deadlines and targets + Excellent planning, organizing and delivery skills + Accuracy and attention to detail + Strong presentation skills + Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory **Education :** + Bachelor’s degree/University degree.
