Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Accountant in the Service industry, located in New Brighton, Minnesota. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be primarily focusing on Payroll Support Tickets and Testing, with the potential for further responsibilities to be added over time.
Responsibilities:
• Processing Payroll Support Tickets at the corporate level, providing assistance to a range of companies.
• Performing extensive system testing on Ceridian for payroll, ensuring all complexities are addressed.
• Assisting with the integration of multiple acquisitions, including setting up new hires in the payroll system.
• Demonstrating a deep understanding of the linkage between payroll and the General Ledger.
• Managing payroll tax filing, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.
• Participating in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Handling liability accounts, positive pay files, child support, and other related tasks.
• Utilizing skills in Ceridian, Dynamics AX, HRIS Implementation, Software Implementations, and System Integration Testing. Requirements
• Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience as a Payroll Accountant in the service industry is required.
• Proficiency in payroll software such as Ceridian is highly essential.
• Strong knowledge of Dynamics AX is needed for the role.
• Previous experience in HRIS Implementation is necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion is crucial.
• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability is expected.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of current payroll tax requirements and regulations is a must.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure are required.
• The candidate should be comfortable with meeting tight deadlines.
