Description Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant in Meridian, ID. This onsite role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000–$75,000 per year. The ideal candidate will have expertise in payroll processing, reporting, and compliance while collaborating effectively with the Payroll Administrator. This position requires strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills to ensure timely and accurate payroll operations. This role is fully onsite - applicants should reside in the area. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Reporting: + Validate timecards and check previews with the Payroll Administrator. + Reconcile deductions (e.g., AFLAC, union dues, garnishments) and process ACH payments. + Prepare certified payroll reports and file workers' comp forms. + Generate payroll tax filings (FUTA, SUTA, 941) and reconcile liabilities. + Process state and local payroll tax payments. New Hire Processing: + Enter new hires into the payroll system and verify paperwork. Support Payroll Administration: + Maintain employee rosters and review timecards for accuracy. + Input payroll data, address adjustments, and process ACH/direct deposit and paper checks, as necessary. + Verify deductions (e.g., 401(k), health insurance) for new hires.
