Description Robert Half is searching for a detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to join a one of our client's dynamic organization. Key Responsibilities + Process payroll for employees accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. + Review payroll data for accuracy, including wages, deductions, and benefits. + Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries and assist in month-end close processes. + Ensure compliance with tax laws by preparing and submitting payroll taxes timely. + Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, addressing discrepancies and resolving issues. + Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records, including earnings and deductions. + Prepare and analyze payroll reports for management and auditors. + Stay updated on payroll regulations and implement changes as required. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. + Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll or general accounting roles. + Proficient with payroll software systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday). + Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookups. + Strong understanding of multi-state payroll laws and tax regulations. + Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. + Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
