Payroll Administrator Responsibilities:
Process and validate biweekly payrolls for Ontario and Manitoba employees using UKG Pro (UltiPro).
Maintain accurate employee records including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, benefit deductions, and leaves of absence.
Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation (e.g., ESA, MB Employment Standards, CPP, EI, income tax).
Prepare and submit statutory remittances and filings including ROEs, T4s, T4As, and year-end reconciliations.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and managers with professionalism and confidentiality.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure data integrity and payroll accuracy.
Review and reconcile payroll reports, general ledger entries, and benefit invoices.
Monitor UKG integrations and troubleshoot discrepancies in time and attendance data.
Payroll Administrator Requirements:
2+ years of experience processing Canadian payroll, preferably with a focus on Ontario and Manitoba.
Hands-on experience with UKG Pro (UltiPro) is required.
Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation and provincial regulations.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must (i.e., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data validation).
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) certification or 5+ years experience
