Payroll Administrator

The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for working with the Payroll Director and the Payroll Manager from a corporate level perspective to ensure compliance, administration, accuracy, timeliness, and retention for all payrolls. It will also include keeping current with the ever-changing legal environment. This position requires being a diplomat and good communicator in dealing with the properties, corporate office, and other payroll related vendors. This position will require a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for processing payroll for all locations (with assistance from manager and field team members)Assist with security access to all required payroll systemsResponsible for auditing, balancing, and posting payroll files in the GL systemAssist with quarterly and year-end reporting requirementsResponsible for assisting with manual check processingResponsible for assisting with processing incentives, relocation, and other types of payments handled at the corporate officeDevelop and maintain internal training materials for the payroll products used by CrestlineDevelop and maintain all payroll standard operating proceduresResponsible for training and onboarding new team members responsible for handling payroll at the property levelCommunication with payroll vendor to ensure payrolls are processed accurately and timelyCommunication with payroll vendor tax division to ensure all notices received from agencies are addressed in a timely mannerProcess garnishments received in the Fairfax office to Proliant, Crestline’s payroll providerResponsible for responding to any inquiries on garnishments from our legal team, outside agencies, or Proliant in a timely mannerAct as a liaison between the field and payroll related vendorsAssist hotel team members with inquiries regarding process, procedures, and complianceAssist with any audit requests from external or internal auditorsAlways maintain positive relations with all departments and internal customersMaintain confidentiality of all information regarding payroll records

Education & Experience: High school diploma and three (3) years of related experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge, and abilities. Experience with major payroll systems required and Proliant is preferable, but not required.

Computer Skills: Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Other Requirements: Must be able to work independently, have knowledge of all payroll functions and can effectively deal with internal and external customers
