Description We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team in Winchester, Kentucky. As part of the utilities and infrastructure industry, you'll play a crucial role in managing our payroll system, ensuring accurate and timely processing, and handling related accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Overseeing the payroll process for approximately 1,000 employees on a biweekly basis using Peoplesoft Payroll • Handling all aspects of payroll tax and filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations • Preparing and reviewing journal entries as part of the month-end close process • Utilizing Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and reports • Administering 401k - RRSP benefits and other related functions • Processing checks as part of the payroll cycle • Using ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, Kronos Timekeeping System, and About Time for various payroll and timekeeping tasks • Performing other accounting and benefits functions as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Payroll Administrator role or similar within the Utilities/Infrastructure industry. • Proficient in using ADP Workforce Now software for payroll administration. • Experience using the Ceridian software for payroll functions. • Familiarity with Kronos Timekeeping System for efficient time tracking. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration for employee benefits management. • Experience with About Time software for effective time and attendance management. • Solid understanding of basic accounting functions related to payroll. • Ability to handle benefit functions for employee welfare. • Proven experience in check processing for payroll distribution.
