Position Summary                       

 

This role is responsible for compiling and maintaining payroll data as well as running payroll.

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities    

               

Prepare and submit union fringe benefit reports with the proper fund office Create union pay tables in payroll system Assist with union audits Process payroll records for new employees Prepare and distribute payroll checks and necessary reports on appropriate dates as directed Processes employment verification requests Work with the unemployment administrator to provide information as requested Maintain current tax information by state as needed Performs other related duties as required

Education/Experience

                                                               

High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred          1 year of experience in the field or in a related area required Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures Knowledge and basic understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
