**DESCRIPTION**
We are looking for a talented **Payroll Administrator** to join our team specializing in **Payroll** for our **Human Resources** **Department** in **Johannesburg, South Africa.**
**In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways** :
+ Ensure Accurate Payroll Processing: By meticulously preparing, processing, and balancing payroll for complex groups, you'll ensure employees are paid correctly and on time.
+ Maintain Data Integrity: You'll ensure that all data from interfaces and manual sources is uploaded without errors, maintaining the integrity of payroll information.
+ Resolve Complex Issues: By troubleshooting and resolving complex payroll issues with helpdesk experts, you'll minimize disruptions and ensure smooth payroll operations.
+ Support Compliance and Accuracy: Ensuring accurate calculation of taxes and deductions, and compliance with internal policies and legislation, you'll help avoid legal issues and financial discrepancies.
+ Provide Exceptional Customer Support: Offering support to large sites or multiple locations, including handling off-cycle or replacement payments, you'll enhance employee satisfaction and trust.
+ Collaborate on Financial Reconciliation: Working with Payroll Accounting to clear and reconcile items, you'll contribute to accurate financial reporting and accountability.
+ Participate in Continuous Improvement: By engaging in continuous improvement projects and maintaining payroll process documentation, you'll help streamline processes and increase efficiency.
+ Act as a Knowledge Resource: Serving as an internal and external resource on payroll system inquiries and acting as an informal mentor to less experienced colleagues, you'll foster a knowledgeable and supportive work environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**To be successful in this role you will need the following:**
+ Extensive Experience: Over 5 years in payroll processes, tax legislation, and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration.
+ Analytical Skills: Proficient in payroll element testing, tax audits, and managing multiple year-end cycles. Skilled in data analysis, discrepancy reconciliation, and legislative alignment.
+ Communication: Effective team player, collaborating with benefits teams, management, and stakeholders. Clear communication in complex tax meetings and report collaborations.
+ Attention to Detail: Ensures data accuracy, payroll reconciliation, and timely GL file submissions. Maintains compliance with policies and legislative requirements, protecting confidential information.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education/ Experience**
+ A diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience that meets applicable regulations.
+ Significant experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
