Payroll Analyst
Description Are you an analytical thinker with expertise in payroll systems and a passion for accuracy? Our client is seeking a Payroll Analyst to join their growing team, where you’ll play a vital role in ensuring timely, compliant, and error-free payroll functions. From data validation to process improvements, this opportunity will allow you to leverage your skills to streamline payroll operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: + Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations. + Analyze payroll data for accuracy, audit reports, and reconcile discrepancies, ensuring error-free payroll cycles. + Manage and optimize payroll systems, implement upgrades, and troubleshoot system issues. + Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and prepare reports such as quarterly and annual tax filings, including W-2s. + Identify inefficiencies in payroll procedures and recommend streamlined solutions. + Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, time and attendance, and other related questions. + Work closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate payroll data integration and reporting. Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. + 3+ years of experience in payroll analysis or payroll processing, preferably in multi-state payroll environments. + Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with HRIS integration is a plus. + Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations, wage laws, garnishments, and other relevant compliance requirements. + Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred but not required. + Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to maintain confidentiality. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
