Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Analyst in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is 100% remote and only requires the candidate to operate within the Central Standard Time Zone. This role is crucial to our client's overall payroll team, ensuring compliance, researching state payroll tax regulations, registering with new states, reconciling payroll between integrated systems, variance analysis and providing back-up support to other team members. Responsibilities: • Complying with current government regulations and performing research • Implementing policies on garnishments and payroll advancements to employees • Process any adjustments in system • Preparing government reporting and maintaining accurate financial records • Preparing accruals and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger • Providing support to other payroll analysts on the team when needed • Utilizing various accounting software systems and ADP workforce to manage accounting functions and benefit functions • Performing auditing tasks and ensuring the accuracy of payroll records and transactions. Requirements • Applicant must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Payroll Analyst. • Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required; Oracle highly preferred • Familiarity with ADP is ideal • Candidate should have a strong understanding of multi-state payroll tax regulations • Auditing skills are necessary for this role. • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
