Position Overview:
The primary role of the Payroll Analyst I includes processing requests for changes in employee pay within the prescribed timelines for the monthly payroll. Prepare the monthly payroll for approval and remit the related tax and third party payments. This position will provide base level information to the Business for month end journals and internal reporting purposes. This position should understand the Payroll processes and the SAP system in order to drive process improvements. Additionally, this position should understand the end to end administrative processes related to Payroll, Compensation and Benefits and HR
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and/or update the various changes for the employee pay affecting payroll (contract modifications, personal details etc.) on a monthly basis according to company policy and proper approval level Prepare the monthly payroll for approval. Prepare and submit tax and third party payments Provide information to the Business for month end journals and internal reporting. Provide high level of customer experience while assisting on employee and manager related issues Respond to queries within the area of competency Respond questions from business within the area of competency Provide assistance to report payroll errors for the payroll metrics Assisting with basic testings for Payroll Assist with requests from auditors as assigned by the Payroll Lead Other Duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline OR high school diploma with payroll experience 3-5 years of Direct Payroll Experience Organization/planning skills, rigor, detail oriented, diplomacy, follow up Competency with Excel and Microsoft Office. SAP experience preferred.

Base Salary: $52,830 - $92,440
Base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience for this role, and/or internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer. This position is also eligible to participate in McCormick’s Incentive Bonus (MIB) Plan.
