We are seeking a Payroll and Accounting Specialist for an Orange County Ecommerce Accelerator Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for The Payroll and Accounting Specialist will process invoices promptly and accurately and process all payrolls in a prompt and accurate manner.

Payroll Responsibilities:
\n\n\n\t\n\tManage and process Time Clock Adjustments and obtain approval if necessary.
\n\t\n\t\n\tVerify employee eligible sick and Vacation hours when requested.
\n\t\n\t\n\tLog & report late Time Clock Adjustments to HR
\n\t\n\t\n\tManage Missed Meal or Rest Period forms, coordinate approval, verify Effective Rate and Issue Penalty Pay, if necessary.
\n\t\n\t\n\tTrack and report Missed Meal Period forms to the Human Resources Department.
\n\t\n\t\n\tProcess commissions, Retro Hours & Pay, Travel Time, Missed Meal Penalty Pay, and Non-Recurring Payments & Deductions
\n\t\n\t\n\tBalance batches at close of Payroll
\n\t\n\t\n\tProcess and submit all three payrolls: hourly, salary and incentives.
\n\t\n\t\n\tCreate new job codes in Timeclock Plus as requested by Department Supervisors
\n\t\n\t\n\tProcess garnishments
\n\t\n\t\n\tCoordinate distribution of payroll checks
\n\t\n\t\n\tPrepare final checks for terminated employees according to procedure.
\n\t\n\t\n\tAnswer Payroll related questions from employees.
\n\t\n\t\n\tAudit and reissue stale dated checks.
\n\t\n\t\n\tEmployee Compensation Notices
\n\t\n\t\n\tTrack & verify Anniversary increases eligibility.
\n\t\n\t\n\tManage Employee Compensation Packages & Notices to distribute through DocuSign and upload to employee profile when completed and signed by employee and respective supervisor.
\n\t\n\t\n\tUpdate employee wages into Payroll systems.
\n\t\n\t\n\tWork with VP of Operations to coordinate and issue state mandated wage increases.
\n\t\n\t\n\tProcess additional compensation requests; Cost of living, merit & training increases.
\n\t\n\t\n\tAdministration Processes
\n\t\n\t\n\tPrepare and distribute W-2s.
\n\t\n\t\n\tComplete government required forms
\n\t\n\t\n\tUpdate and distribute corporate employees and managers vacation schedule.
\n\t\n\t\n\t401K – Process payroll contributions, process change forms, and manage yearly audits.
\n\t\n\t\n\tReports
\n\t\n\t\n\tScreen Overtime report at the close of each bi-weekly payroll period for discrepancies and obtain corrections as needed.
\n\t\n\t\n\tRun Training Hours report weekly, adjust job code in Time Clock Plus, and distribute reports monthly.
\n\t\n\t\n\tRun Current Employment Statistics report monthly and submit to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
\n\t\n\t\n\tRun Multiple Work Site report quarterly and submit to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
\n\t\n\n \n\nAccounting Specialist duties:
\n\n\n\t\n\tProcess and issue invoices for weekly payments by obtaining supporting documents and/or obtaining approval as needed.
\n\t\n\t\n\tCode and enter invoices into the accounting system for documentation.
\n\t\n\t\n\tProcess monthly rents, recurring payments, prepare and distribute checks for payment.
\n\t\n\t\n\tCoordinate statements and update amounts into accounting system
\n\t\n\n\n\n\n
Payroll and Accounting Specialist Skills and Experience:
\n\n\n\t\n\tThe ideal candidates will have 1+ years of payroll experience
\n\t\n\t\n\tEffective communication skills
\n\t\n\t\n\tProficient with payroll related software.
\n\t\n\t\n\tEffective at developing consistent processes.
