Based in Austin, TX, Removery is the only scaled, pure play provider of laser tattoo removal services in the world. We use best in class technology utilizing the innovative PicoWay® laser equipment to remove tattoos safely and effectively. The foundation is in place to build a network of 400+ locations across the US, Canada, and Australia over the next 5 years.  Position Overview:  We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our People and Culture team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, administration of employee benefits programs, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll and benefits administration, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our employees.  Position Responsibilities:  + Payroll Processing:   + Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.  + Collect, verify, and input employee time and attendance data.  + Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, garnishments, and voluntary deductions.  + Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including summaries, tax filings, and other necessary documentation.  + Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.  + Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.  + Process off-cycle payments as needed.  + Benefits Administration:   + Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and other voluntary benefits.  + Manage enrollment, changes, and terminations of employee benefits.  + Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.  + Coordinate and conduct employee benefits orientations and presentations.  + Process benefits invoices and reconcile discrepancies.  + Ensure compliance with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other applicable benefits regulations.  + Manage annual open enrollment processes.  + Maintain accurate benefit records.  + Compliance and Reporting:   + Stay up to date on federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.  + Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports (e.g., 941, W-2, state unemployment).  + Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.  + Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation.  + Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies and insurance carriers.  + Other Duties:   + Assist with HR projects and initiatives as needed.  + Maintain confidentiality of employee information.  + Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.  + Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures related to payroll and benefits.  SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS  + Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field from an accredited college or university (or equivalent professional experience)  + At least one year of professional experience supporting the payroll function (at least three years of professional experience supporting payroll and employee benefits strongly preferred)  + Excellent communication and organizational skills  + Excellent interpersonal skills as this role will require you to work closely with others across different departments  + Resourceful, a problem solver, self-motivated   You will be part of a supportive and close-knit team and given the opportunity to perform purposeful work.
