Payroll and HR Administration Specialist

We are currently looking for a Payroll and HR Administration Specialist to join our EU HR department. This will be a full-time permanent role based in Belgrade (Serbia). Please note that you must be eligible to work in Serbia to apply for this position and please state your salary expectations (gross per annum in EUR) in your cover letter.

Payroll and HR Administration Specialist provides timely and accurate administrative and HR management support across all disciplines of the employee lifecycle including filing of compliant employment documentation and registration. The role provides insight and process streamlining for the most efficient HR administration across our multi-European geographies and takes the lead on these areas for Serbia and acts as primary HR contact for employees and suppliers across geographies.  

Key tasks, duties and responsibilities:

Payroll:

Ensure all payroll and employee related reporting are carried out timely and accurately. Primary responsibility for Serbian, Croatian, Austrian and North Macedonian payrolls. Gather and provide monthly variables to payroll providers across EU business unit managed by HR. Review the accuracy of payroll reports ensuring all necessary changes have been accurately captured such as joiners, leavers, allowances, bonus, deductions, bonus, pensions etc. Communicate any errors / issues and ensure that they are corrected prior to payment. Provide support and manage payroll related queries with HR and external advisors when needed.

HR Administration:

Ensure accuracy of HR data and metrics for the business unit, support administration of statutory documentation across geographies. Implement and maintain regulatory employment management documentation such as Labour Rulebook and job systematisation with relevant legal support and input from both HR and EU business, in alignment with DAI approach, including job harmonisation.  Handling all administrative aspects along the entire employee life cycle. Preparing and issuing of employee’s documentation, creating company policies and ensuring legal compliance. First point of contact for employees on HR related queries, resolve day to day HR systems administration activity and administer annual updates.  Maintain HR inductions (branding, policy updates etc.) for all European geographies ensuring updates are managed across all geographical versions.

Qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience:

Essential:

Demonstrated experience in HR and general administration. Ability to act in line with defined policies and practice but apply initiative to deal with unique situations and streamline approach to meet changing needs and priorities. Appreciation of the value and impact of diverse workforce; ability to work across cultures.  Keen eye for detail, organisational flair and commitment to quality and accuracy with strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, HR Databases (ideally Oracle and/or SAP) and good spreadsheet skills. Excellent verbal and written skills in Serbian and English. Excellent professional presence, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with the wider DAI team. High-integrity, self-motivated, goal-oriented with a sense of urgency.

Desirable:

Degree/equivalent in a business/HR related subject (or studying towards). HR experience or familiarity in at least one of the key EU geographies (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Serbia). Experience of working in an international environment dealing with a variety of cultures. Understanding of international development. Experience of ADP iHCM module. Additional European language skills (German particularly desirable).
