System One is working with a manufacturing company that is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator and Payroll Specialist to join their team. This hybrid role primarily focuses on payroll processing and administration, while also encompassing essential HR functions. The ideal candidate will have robust experience with ADP systems, and exhibit a strong understanding of payroll procedures, benefits administration, and compliance with labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management:
Process weekly and monthly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Support the transition to the new ADP payroll model, streamlining processes to reduce manual efforts and enhance efficiency. Maintain payroll records, including updates on employee status, hours worked, and deductions, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in reporting. Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.Human Resources Support:
Collaborate with HR colleagues to assist in various HR functions including, but not limited to, FMLA administration, benefits coordination, and employee onboarding. Assist in the coordination and execution of HR programs and initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement and retention. Support compliance initiatives by maintaining employee records and documentation as mandated by federal and state laws. Contribute to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Qualifications
Proven experience in payroll processing, ideally using ADP Workforce Now; previous ADP experience is a must. Knowledge of relevant labor laws, including experience with union payroll processes, is a strong plus. Familiarity with multistate payroll processing is highly desirable. Previous experience in HR roles, specifically with FMLA and benefits administration, is preferred Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
