Payroll and Operations Coordinator
Our Client, an Utility and Energy Generation and Distribution company, is looking for a Payroll and Operations Coordinator for their Salt Lake City , UT location. Responsibilities: + Entering labor hours, work orders, and material usage for a 10-person crew. + Data entry for payroll, managing open/close work orders, and issuing materials. + Administering daily office functions such as filing, email communication, and team coordination. + Using an in-house database (training provided). + Managing dispatch activities from a Utah-based perspective and supporting departmental organization. + The focus will be on electronic communications and internal coordination. + Primarily responsible for handling contractor payroll activities, including time entry, managing work orders, issuing materials, and maintaining filing systems. + Customer service and problem-solving skills are key for this role. + May be asked to step in to cover out-of-office tasks as needed. Requirements: + Sharp, detail-oriented individual capable of handling time-sensitive tasks and ensuring smooth operations. + High school diploma or equivalent. + Minimum of three years of related experience. + Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels. + Ability to work well as part of a team and manage multiple tasks efficiently. + Proficiency in word processing, databases, and spreadsheets. + Sound judgment in daily tasks, with the ability to maintain confidentiality. + Able to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. + Positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment. + Highly organized, with excellent planning skills and keen attention to detail. + Experience in work management, dispatching, payroll, or utility operations is a plus. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle physical tasks such as organizing materials and filing in overhead cabinets.
